WASHINGTON COUNTY, PA – Many Washington County
communities have experienced significant flood damage following severe rainfall on September 12 and September 20. In response, Washington County will host a Multi-Agency Response Center (MARC) in partnership with Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency this week to help residents and businesses affected by the flooding
connect with critical resources and aid.
The two-day center at the American Legion in Washington will bring together multiple county agencies, volunteer organizations, and state agencies, to include the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Washington County Department of Human Services and more.
The MARC provides a central location for individuals and businesses to learn about resources which will include help with understanding insurance coverage, information on avoiding fraud and repair scams, and connections to local community support services.
“This is an opportunity to bring critical resources directly to the front door of those in need. We encourage anyone who has experienced loss or damage from these recent storms to
take advantage of this opportunity to connect with those who can help as we, as a county, navigate the recovery process,” said Gerald Coleman, Washington County Director of
Public Safety.
Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC):
Dates: October 1st & 2nd from 11am to 7pm
Location: American Legion
168 Park Ave, Washington, PA 15301
Washington County Emergency Management continues to encourage residents and businesses who experienced damage to report it through the county’s online damage reporting system.
