 POSITION

The Washington County Court of Common Pleas/ Probation Services Department are seeking to hire part-time Booking Center Monitor and part-time Probation Monitor Positions.  The Booking Center Monitor positions are responsible for completing tasks in all facets of the Booking Center operation during their shift; ensuring proper and correct criminal history recording and transmission; handle protected information and comply with auditing requirements and the Criminal History Records Information Act (CHRIA). The Probation Monitor position requirements include tasks related to drug testing collections and electronic monitoring hook-ups, equipment replacement, scheduling, and any other electronic monitoring duties. 

If considered for a Probation Monitor Position other job factors may be required, such as working non-traditional shifts, using computer-based systems, and dealing with offenders and victims within the criminal justice system.  A bachelor’s degree is preferred; however, an associate’s degree or a reliable work history may be considered.  Applicants must be able to pass child clearances, a criminal background check, and a physical, which includes drug screening. Applicants must have limited restrictions on hours and be prepared to work nights and weekends.  Applicants should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, Word, and in general be comfortable with computer-based applications.

WASHINGTON COUNTY PROBATION SERVICES – Clerk Typist II

Position:          Clerk Typist II

The Washington County Probation Services Department is currently in need of a full-time Clerk Typist II.  This is data entry and clerical work at the full performance level; work involves skilled typing tasks, understanding court orders, entering court orders, and working within a criminal justice environment.

Work is performed under the supervision of an administrative supervisor.  Assignments and day-to-day work are policy driven and carried out in accordance with general work instruction, including established practices, procedures, and applicable legal standards or regulations.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma, GED, or any equivalent combination of acceptable education. Also, pass a background investigation, psychological assessment, required clearances, drug screening, and a post-employment physical.

CASEWORKER 1

Washington County has immediate openings for the position of Caseworker 1.  This is an opportunity to work with children and families in an environment that serves to help others.

The position will automatically progress to a Caseworker 2 after completion of one year of service at an annual salary of $53,098.50.

The position investigates allegations of child abuse and neglect and performs social service and case management supportive services to children, youth and families.  An important aspect of this work is the employment of casework skills in obtaining essential information, counseling clients and members of their families and helping them utilize all available resources.

A bachelor's degree, which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice or other related social sciences; OR two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college-level course work which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences, and one year of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 or in a similar position performing paraprofessional case management functions is required.  Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.  Microsoft Office skills are required.

ID/AUTISM PROGRAM DIRECTOR

The County of Washington Behavioral Health & Developmental Services Department is seeking applicants for the position of ID/Autism Program Director.  The starting salary for the position is $65,901.07 with a generous benefits package, including family health insurance, retirement contribution, and wellness benefits/activities for both employees and their families, paid time off (vacation and sick) and employee assistance program (EAP).  The position is 8:30-4:30 Monday through Friday and will require work outside of normal scheduled hours due to meetings, trainings or other administrative need. 

The position is of both an administrative and supervisory nature and involves program planning, analysis, coordination and implementation of ID/Autism services. They oversee the Developmental Services program of BHDS to assure quality compliance with legislative requirements and mandates.  They also study, analyze and evaluate community needs and resources.  The position is also responsible for coordinating the review of data/documents pertinent to the continuation of existing services and the planning/development of new programs in the field of ID/Autism. In addition to supervising departmental staff, the position is responsible for the development, submission and implementation of the annual County QM Plan.

The position requires one (1) year as a County Intellectual Disability Program Specialist; OR five (5) years of professional level experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, including three (3) years of administrative, supervisory, or consultative work; and a bachelor’s degree; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training.
